The importance of Diet in Fitness

Ryan: “I am working out 6 days a week 2 hours a day. For diet? Ya normal diet as every other people. So what? I am working 2 hours a day for 6 days a week.” This is what Ryan said to Shane 6 month earlier when he was working 5 days a week 1.5 hours a week with proper diet plan. Whose result do you think came pretty? Obviously it was Shane.

One major problem with most of the working out group is that they do not focus on their diet and sleep and make their workout the whole priority. They neglect the importance of diet in fitness. This is absolutely taking them nowhere in terms of development. The power of your diet and sleep is more than your workout. So, how exactly? Let’s dive right into the topic.

Someday somewhere in life we might have heard this saying “Its 70% diet and 30% exercise” haven’t we? But we tend to ignore this completely. Diet is very very important in fitness if you want to achieve your goal. For different goals there are different diet plans. Here are some importance of diet for your fitness:

  • Increase in metabolism
  • Helps in muscle recovery post workout
  • Strength gain / Fat loss as per your diet plan
  • Proper Mentality (Keeps you mentally strong)
  • Less risk of any disease

However, you may also be confused on which diet to follow as there are a lot of plans all over the internet and each of them rate themselves the best one. This is really hard, isn’t it? So, lets make ourselves clear on this. Yes, every diet plan is best in their own areas. All,you need to do first is know your body type. Everybody wont success with the same plan. Success with diet differs according to your body type and how your body processes the food. So, first thing you need to do is identify your body type.

After you find your body type all you got to do is choose your perfect diet plan. Yes it is hard to track calories but you can maintain the level of Protein, Carbs and Fats that you consume in a whole day as a whole. With proper diet you will also need to sleep 7-9 hours a day to see better results. Therefore, follow a proper workout and diet plan with proper rest as well for fast and effective results.
